Which ethnic cuisine and food do you like best?

What is your favorite ethnic cuisine? Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian Turkish, Greek, Italian, French, Swiss, English, American Mexican, Brazilian, Arabic, African etc... Which one do you enjoy most? And what are the major dishes of the ethnic cuisine you chose? Mine is Korean, Galbi(Korean Barbecue)!

German Gulasch Suppe 2 lbs. beef (cut in small cubes) 3 tbsp. oil or butter 4 medium onions (chopped) 1 clove garlic (minced) 2 tbsp. paprika salt & pepper tp taste 1 tsp. carraway seeds 3 tbsp. tomato paste 1 bay leaf 3 c. water 2 c. beef broth 1/2 c. red wine 4 medium potatoes (cubed) Brown the meat in oil or butter. Add the onions and garlic and fry until the onions are translucent. Add the paprika, bay leaf, carraway seeds, water, and broth. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes. Add the potatoes and simmer for an additional 45 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste and red wine. Salt and pepper to taste. Remove the bay leaf before serving. OR Bauern Fruehstueck (Farmer's Breakfast) 6 slices bacon 1 tablespoon butter 1 onion, chopped 4 potatoes, cooked and finely diced 6 eggs 1/2 teaspoon salt freshly ground black pepper 1/4 cup milk In a frying pan, fry the bacon until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towel. Remove the bacon fat from the frying pan, add the butter and saute' the onion until soft. Add the potatoes and brown lightly. Beat the eggs lightly and add the salt, pepper and milk, and finally the chopped bacon. Pour the egg mixture over the onions and potatoes and stir occasionally until cooked. And of course Bratwurst Sauerkraut and mashed potatoes
  4. I like Mediterranean Cuisine: it includes Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey and even Morocco! So it encompasses foods & dishes from many regions, it's also very healthy & delicious!!

  7. indian food...any veggie recipe. mattar paneer, any type of dal, and dosas are my favs. oh and i had korean bbq (well minus the meat hehe) for the first time last weekend and it was amazing!! im craving it so bad now.

  9. Japanese. I'm not quite sure of the name... but it is fried pork and egg over rice.

  11. I loove these type of ?'s!!!:) My absolute fave..is Arabic, then Greek and then finally a toss up between Mexican and and Italian. I loove Arabic probably the most, as it reminds me of my youth, and it's my comfort/soul food. My fave dishes have to be: Mansaff,(a yogurt based soup that contains fresh lamb, and pine nuts, served over rice), And W'rat Dwali(which are the stuffed grape leaves, or dolmas in Greek...maybe that's why Greek is a close second...never thought of that:)

  15. Jap food. Kobe beef, shrimp tempura, misu and tofu soup, fugu sashimi all washed down with sake and Sapporo beer.
  16. I actually love Korean food too, especially anything with a ton of garlic that is extra spicy! My fave Korean dish is Soon Dubu Jiggae(hot and spicy soft tofu soup)! A bunch of galbi on a sizzling hot plate, a bowl of rice, and a huge plate of kimchi isn't that bad either :)
  17. Greek-avgolemeno soup, spanakopita, moussaka, etc Japanese-sushi and sashimi
