Thai Village Cuisine

Where can I find a good if not great Thai restaurant in Phoenix?

I'm jones'in for good thai food. In my experience, small family run restaurants generally serve the best. I think is it because "mom" is usually in the kitchen preparing the dishes. What do you recommend?

  1. not Thai, but Vietnamese.....Saigon Ph'o in Chandler is da bomb!!
  2. There are a couple that I like... - Malee's on Main (in Old Town Scottsdale - there's also one at Desert Ridge on 101 & Tatum) - Char's Thai on University & 1 Block East of Rural. - Pink Pepper and ew, Saigon Pho is disgusting and has horrible service! (I'm Vietnamese, and I know!)
  3. There's not many unfortunately. The best 2 I found is the Pink Pepper at 3rd St. & Bell. The second one I cannot remember the name. It's at 35th ave & Bell in the shopping area on the south/west corner at the very end (the opposite end from Savers) if I'm remembering correctly.
  4. Char's Thai on University is the best
  5. go online and do a search in your area, that might help find an assortment of different places.
  6. Thai Basil in Tempe is very good-tried it for the first time on Mother's Day and everyone loved it! It is on University past Mill Ave.
