Jasmine Thai Restaurant Knowledge Base

How to make the best Jasmine (Thai) rice? YUM YUM!? I love the rice at thai restaurants, it smells so good! The rice they use at the thai place is Jasmine rice, right? If not, what is it? If it is, why when I make it at home (according to package directions), it doesn't smell or taste as good? Am I missing a secret ingredient or two?
What makes jasmine rice different from "regular" rice? It always seems to taste so much better.? I have had it several times at Thai restaurants. They don't seem to be doing anything different or adding anything. It just seems that it's because it's jasmine rice.
